Our Quepos trip was truly an incredible experience that was equal parts culture, connection, and adventure. Our trip leader, Becky, and city host, Heidy, were so generous and elevated our trip experience. We had thrilling zip line and waterfall experiences, explored Manuel Antonio National Park, experienced countless exciting animal sightings (sloths, monkeys, macaws, and more!), made new friends in our hometown of Grand Rapids, MI and Quepos, CR, enjoyed authentic Costa Rican food, delicious fresh fruit smoothies, and, of course, "copoz" on the beach... I could go on and on.
Quepos is such a beautiful and friendly destination and Travec allows you to go deeper into an immersive travel experience far beyond a typical vacation. Because we were in a group, our children borrowed courage from the other kids and took off speaking Spanish with the locals. Following our cooking lesson with Chef Eli, my ten-year-old, who is typically shy to use her Spanish outside of her language immersion school, said, "Speaking Spanish to someone who doesn't speak English gave me purpose and made me want to speak the best I could."
I'm not sure how we'll ever top this travel experience! Thank you Travec!
