Our trip was wonderful and so thoughtfully planned. I stayed with a phenomenal host, who welcomed me into her family and who was willing to show me all around the city. We had an excellent teacher, Laura, for our Spanish classes. She was so patient with all of our questions and took an interest in our stories, even though we were only there for two classes. We had the opportunity to have a number of cultural experiences - a folk dance festival, a city tour, a cave tour, and a cooking class - each of which gave us another perspective on the city. What we all really enjoyed was the amount of time we got to spend practicing our Spanish in context, alongside so many kind and patient people who were willing to let us ask all kinds of questions. We spent a lot of time laughing and just enjoying being together as a team.

We had a wonderful trip. We stayed with host families, were able to tour Chihuahua, learn about Pancho Villa and the Mexican Revolution, go through Las Grutas (caves), fine-tune our Spanish grammar skills at Interaction Language School, and converse in Spanish while eating great food and building relationships. We were able to come home with a renewed sense of linguistic and cultural knowledge to share with our students. Amanda and Kelsey set up our trip so it was straightforward and included what we wanted/needed as a professional development. When we had some airport issues, Amanda and Kelsey along with our city host, Emily, were able to reschedule our activities for that day to another day so we didn't miss any of the experience. Speaking of our city host, Emily was so kind and easy to work with. She welcomed us with open arms and shared pieces of her home as well as the Chihuahua, Mexican culture. She chose host families that were kind, open, and truly cared for us far beyond expectations. It was a beautiful trip and I'm grateful to have had this opportunity. If you're considering a trip with Travec for personal reasons or professional ones, I'd recommend them every time.

Our Quepos trip was truly an incredible experience that was equal parts culture, connection, and adventure. Our trip leader, Becky, and city host, Heidy, were so generous and elevated our trip experience. We had thrilling zip line and waterfall experiences, explored Manuel Antonio National Park, experienced countless exciting animal sightings (sloths, monkeys, macaws, and more!), made new friends in our hometown of Grand Rapids, MI and Quepos, CR, enjoyed authentic Costa Rican food, delicious fresh fruit smoothies, and, of course, "copoz" on the beach... I could go on and on. Quepos is such a beautiful and friendly destination and Travec allows you to go deeper into an immersive travel experience far beyond a typical vacation. Because we were in a group, our children borrowed courage from the other kids and took off speaking Spanish with the locals. Following our cooking lesson with Chef Eli, my ten-year-old, who is typically shy to use her Spanish outside of her language immersion school, said, "Speaking Spanish to someone who doesn't speak English gave me purpose and made me want to speak the best I could." I'm not sure how we'll ever top this travel experience! Thank you Travec!

Had a great time. Travec picked out great companies for our activities. Also the Air B&B was in a great location that was affordable for us. Was so nice to have a customized trip. I also appreciated that the company was on call during our whole vacation. They helped me resolve some questions quickly. Look forward to our next trip with them.

This trip was a much needed break from my crazy life! I laughed so much and really enjoyed the great group of women! I found it to be a very nice balance of planned activities and free time to relax and/or explore.
