Our Quepos trip was truly an incredible experience that was equal parts culture, connection, and adventure. Our trip leader, Becky, and city host, Heidy, were so generous and elevated our trip experience. We had thrilling zip line and waterfall experiences, explored Manuel Antonio National Park, experienced countless exciting animal sightings (sloths, monkeys, macaws, and more!), made new friends in our hometown of Grand Rapids, MI and Quepos, CR, enjoyed authentic Costa Rican food, delicious fresh fruit smoothies, and, of course, "copoz" on the beach... I could go on and on. Quepos is such a beautiful and friendly destination and Travec allows you to go deeper into an immersive travel experience far beyond a typical vacation. Because we were in a group, our children borrowed courage from the other kids and took off speaking Spanish with the locals. Following our cooking lesson with Chef Eli, my ten-year-old, who is typically shy to use her Spanish outside of her language immersion school, said, "Speaking Spanish to someone who doesn't speak English gave me purpose and made me want to speak the best I could." I'm not sure how we'll ever top this travel experience! Thank you Travec!

Had a great time. Travec picked out great companies for our activities. Also the Air B&B was in a great location that was affordable for us. Was so nice to have a customized trip. I also appreciated that the company was on call during our whole vacation. They helped me resolve some questions quickly. Look forward to our next trip with them.

This trip was a much needed break from my crazy life! I laughed so much and really enjoyed the great group of women! I found it to be a very nice balance of planned activities and free time to relax and/or explore.

This trip exceeded my (already high) expectations in every way. The city was gorgeous, the sun was glorious, the food was delicious and the group was so, so fun. I laughed harder than I have in so long, made new friends and had time to recharge and recenter. Thank you Travec for this amazing experience!

We took a 10-day family trip to Medellín (12/26–1/4) organized by Travec, traveling with a group of families whose children attend a Spanish immersion school. Travec handled accommodations, airport transfers, and tours, and everything was seamless with excellent communication throughout the trip. The accommodations were spacious, family-friendly, and located in a great, walkable neighborhood with restaurants and shops nearby. Having all the families in the same building made it especially fun for both kids and adults. Tour highlights included a coffee farm, a farm-to-table experience where we helped cook a meal, a waterfall hike and swim, and a trip to Guatapé with the rock climb and lake boat tour—amazing views. The tour guides were excellent, and we loved the people, food, and overall experience in Colombia. Some tours felt a bit rushed, with a lot of travel time compared to time spent at certain locations, particularly a party bus tour to nearby towns. That said, overall the trip was very well organized and memorable. We would absolutely recommend Travec to families visiting Medellín.
